Make sure you start your routine out slow and less than 30 minutes. Always check with doctor before you begin a regiment. Be ready with a few suggestions to show your doctor. Make sure you enjoy the routine this will help keep you motivated. Consult with a friend. Keep track in a journal; day, time, style and repetitions of exercise routine and adjust accordingly.
Check out different types of routines; always keeping in mind to fit "cardio" exercises i.e. fast-paced walks, biking, or skipping. Starting with warm-up stretching; then light-weights 1-2 lbs, checking the correct way to perform each standard weight exercises to prevent injury; slow-down movements, maybe some yoga-style movements.
